Man thought deer had totally given up on life. Then, something remarkable happened

Rescuing animals has to be one of the toughest jobs there is. You try your best to help those in need, but you don't always know what's wrong or what to do, and sometimes, despite your best efforts, you don't succeed.
Simon, the man in this video, knows that struggle all too well. He's the founder of Wildlife Aid, and has been doing this work for thirty years. As he would tell you, though, it doesn't make it easier.

But moments like this make it worth it.
At the beginning of this video, Simon explains that rescuing deer is especially tough. Deer get very stressed out, and being handled by humans is one of the most stressful situations for them. The Wildlife Center explains that they can develop capture myopathy, which is when they get so stressed out that their organs shut down.
That's what Simon worries about when he finds the injured deer and has to decide whether or not to take it to the vet. Is there a higher chance of the deer dying from its injuries, or stress from being treated? It's never an easy decision.
He ends up taking the little one to the vet and gets her stitched up. But when he takes her back to the forest, he knows she isn't doing well. She's on a precipice, where she could push through and make it, or simply give up.
Fair warning, the moment she takes her first step will have you in tears. You have to watch the video to see the true happiness of a successful rescue. And don't forget to share this with your friends and family!
