Rare red Friesian dances beautifully with his rider

When a horse and rider truly connect and understand each other, riding starts to resemble dancing. The horse in this video, Fire Magic, absolutely dances in this beautiful display. He's trained in high school dressage, which is how he learned to "dance." And he put on beautiful displays as one of the "Royal Dancing Friesians" in "The Magical World of Dancing Horses."
Despite his dancing talents, there's something that makes Fire Magic even more special: He's a registered red imported Friesian stallion. This is notable, since Friesians are known for their beautiful black coats. Fire Magic's unusual chestnut coat gives him a striking appearance and sets him apart from the other horses of the breed.

According to the Friesian Horse Association of North America, Friesians are the only horse breed native to Holland. The breed has often been near extinction, but breed enthusiasts have kept the Friesian population alive. Today, Friesians are highly popular and sought-after horses.
Friesians are known for their black coats and their impressive long manes and tails. Friesians sport feathering around their legs, giving the breed a unique appearance. They also feature high, animated leg action, which makes them highly impressive in the show ring.
Today, Friesians are used in a variety of disciplines. They make great riding mounts and are highly talented in dressage, thanks to their intelligence and willingness to learn. Friesians are very trainable, and their athletic talent allows them to execute higher-level movements than your average horse can perform.
But Friesians also make flashy driving horses, too. Many Friesian owners enjoy competitive driving with their horses, though Friesians are also excellent choices for pleasure driving.
As Fire Magic demonstrates, Friesians are not only gorgeous but also incredibly talented. It's no wonder that this breed is so popular.
